Tips for Buying Artificial Grass

Artifical Grass Pool Paver

There are many artificial grass suppliers in the market, and there are a number of things you need to be sure of when choosing your provider. To ensure you receive the best quality and value for money, we have provided a brief checklist for you.

 Before you purchase:

 Compare samples.

  • Ask how long the grass is guaranteed for.
  • Consider installing the grass yourself to reduce costs (for DIY garden experts).
  • Use square-metre cost for price comparison.
  • Consider if you require underlay, and the type, and add this to your quote.
  • Don’t forget to add delivery to your price as this could add hundreds of dollars to your quote.

 High quality artificial grass should:

  • Be soft and non-abrasive in texture.
  • Have ample drainage holes.
  • Be multi-tone colour.
  • Have a high grass blade density.
  • Look like real grass.

 Purchasing your artificial grass:

Once you have made your selection, it’s time to make your purchase.  Don’t dismiss buying online, as it is often cheaper than purchasing at hardware or landscape supplies stores.  Always ask for a complete price list and range of samples and you will ensure you have made the best selection for your garden.

Artificial Grass

Where can I use my artificial lawn?

I Can’t Believe It’s Not Real Grass is excellent for use in hostile areas where the ground is too dry or shady for regular lawn to grow, e.g. under trees or shrubs. I Can’t Believe It’s Not Real Grass is also great anywhere you would normally have grass – with no weeding, watering or mowing required, ever! And did you know, you can even cover concrete!

3 Benefits of Synthetic Grass

Ying and Yang Synthetic Grass

Any Australian knows the difficulty of maintaining a healthy, fresh lawn. Doing this however, can waste a lot of water and with summer coming up, your grass may lose some of its healthy look. For this reason many people look towards alternative, low cost solutions.

Artificial grass is an easy, low maintenance solution to this problem.

A poor quality artificial grass does not do your house any justice and may even decrease the value of the house. A good artificial grass should be visually identical to the real thing. It should appear as if you take good care of your lawn and have put in the time to maintain it.

An easy way to tell if a synthetic grass is of poor quality is by looking at it. A poor quality artificial grass will be comprised of one colour and look much like plastic. Good quality artificial grass should have a mix of colours in the blades to bring out a natural, Australian look.

Benefit 1: Saving the Environment

There are many enviromental benefits to the average home owner. Synthetic grass does not need to be watered, mown or fertilised and is therefore kinder to the environment in it’s maintenance than turf. With low water levels in some states and strongly enforced water restrictions, now is a great time to change to synthetic grass.

Benefit 2: Giving You Back Your Family Time

For the people who are too busy or those who enjoy their weekends, synthetic grass can save time by not needing any mowing or maintenance, ever. The synthetic grass will never grow, never need watering and remain the same colour all year round. It will remain perfect in appearance all year round, no matter what season.

Benefit 3: Minimal Maintenance

In essence, investing in synthetic grass is definitely worthwhile; money is saved by reducing the amount of water used in your garden; money is also saved on gardening equipment and fertilizer, which for many home owners will provide a much needed relief. The savings are what most people are after when looking into investing. The money saved together with the time and effort is gigantic in the long run and for the eco conscious, the water savings can help the planet. So, what are you waiting for?
